Silure fishing on a 1 hectare private pond near Mons (Belgium)

The Silurodrome is the only pond in Belgium entirely dedicated to the fishing of silure in a private environment. Created after more than a year of work by enthusiasts, this water body of just under one hectare offers an exceptional experience. Nestled in the heart of the woods, it hosts an impressive population of more than 350 silures, of which a dozen exceed 6.56 ft. More than one ton of reloading carried out in 2026 (average size 3.28 ft) regularly boosts the activity. The depth varies from 1 to 4.92 ft, creating ideal areas for hunting these freshwater giants.

Fishing
Pond dedicated exclusively to silure. Three main fishing techniques allowed: lure fishing (streamer, leaded heads max 7g, single hooks without ardillon), fishing by hand (1 cane, elastic min. 4 mm, line body min. 30/100), battery fishing (max 2 canes per fisherman, fluorocarbon ripped min. 8.2 ft). NO KILL mandatory - all fish remain in the water, photos and disposal only. Waders mandatory, gloves and large exhaustette strongly recommended. Pliers mandatory to pick up. Mandatory hooks without ardillon. Prohibited live fishing, prohibited boats, prohibited swimming.
